Use Your Telephone to Report Problems, NOT Facebook

If you encounter, witness or hear of a problem that could pose an imminent or immediate threat to public health or safety, please call the appropriate municipal agency on the telephone to report it rather than posting it on Facebook.

As convenient as it is to air your issues, grievances, personal opinions or comments on Facebook, it is not an appropriate means of reporting a problem as the social media is not monitored for work-related issues to be addressed.

The Police Department and Fire Department have 24-hour staffing to address all needs and the Light Company uses a professional answering service and will contact their on-call person for after-hours calls. If you need assistance or need to report a public works issue after normal work hours, you can contact the Hull Police and they will notify our 24-hour on-call person.

Hull Does NOT Have A Yard Waste Site

Many residents in town have used Google to search for ways to get rid of yard waste, some of these searches have turned up an internet post about the Town of Hull opening a yard waste site.

Unfortunately, the internet post is referring to the Town of Hull, WISCONSIN.

We do not have a spot to dispose of this type of waste in Hull, MA. Sorry...

Household Hazardous Waste Days Coming to Neighboring Towns

Although Hull does not host a Household Hazardous Waste Day in the Spring, there are events in neighboring towns that Hull residents can go to if they get an Authorization Slip from the Hull DPW.

The Authorization Slips are free to Hull residents with proof of residency and are valid at any of the upcoming events in Weymouth, Plymouth, Hanover, Hingham, Kingston or Scituate.

Slips are available Monday through Thursday from 7am until 1pm and 2pm until 4pm and on Fridays from 7am until noon.

In the Fall, we will again host one of these events as we did last year.
