Below is a summary of the first steps being taken in our Pavement Management Plan for this year. We are in the process of scheduling a crack sealing treatment on over 65,000 square yards of pavement on the roadways listed below to help extend their life.
Crack Sealing is a rehabilitation method used to keep excess water or moisture from penetrating asphalt and to prevent further cracking and deterioration of the roadway, ultimately extending the roads life.
Once a schedule is set, we will update this post.

Temporary Closure in Expansion Area of Cemetery
Please be advised that the uphill road to the new section of the Hull Village Cemetery (that runs off Duck Lane, parallel to Nantasket Ave behind the Island View Condos) will be closed for the remainder of the work week beginning tomorrow (Wednesday August 15th). This temporary closure is necessary to install road drainage in this section.
Although most people know that any construction on the side of a dirt hill will lead to run-off after any type of rain event, we were not in a position to install the needed drainage until now.
This section of the cemetery will be inaccessible from Wednesday at 7am until Friday at noon. If all goes well and we are able to install the drainage before the anticipated time frame expires, we will re-open the cemetery for full access everywhere.
We are sorry for this inconvenience but it is a necessary step in moving forward with the expansion of the cemetery.
All other areas of the cemetery will remain open during this construction phase.
Please contact the DPW with any questions.
