Tick Spraying Is Now Scheduled

F&W Pest Control has confirmed the first date of treatment for ticks is Thursday June 14th.

This treatment is safe for kids and pets once it dries, drying time is about 90-minutes.

They will begin spraying in the morning and the treated areas will be closed off for a few hours after the spraying is complete to be extra cautious. They will be treating any tree lines, shrubs and tall grass areas.

Someone had asked if this treatment is safe for bees, I forwarded this question to the pest control company and he stated that if there are any honey bees nearby, they cannot spray.

The June 14th date will be the first of four spraying sessions to take place, each one about 30-days apart, running through mid-September to the same areas in an effort to help prevent any tick-born illnesses from occurring while at these parks and playgrounds.

If any more information becomes available, I will post it...
