Nantasket Road Shade Tree

I just wanted to thank all of the residents that came out this past Saturday morning to attend the site visit at the Public Shade Tree on Nantasket Road.

I also want to thank Selectman Grey and Selectman Richardson for taking time away from their families to visit the tree on a weekend.

Some people present were questioning the reason for the visit, it was so that the Selectmen could see the tree in question firsthand and get a better feel for what it is and what it means to the neighborhood. The meeting was posted as a "Public Meeting" to comply with Open Meeting Laws in case a quorum of the Board arrived.

If you have any questions, concerns or comments about the tree, whether it is in favor of the tree removal or against it, you can send them to my email address at jdow@town.hull.ma.us and I will add them to my file and make sure that the Selectmen get copies of everything. Please write "Public Shade Tree" in the subject line.

As of now, the Selecmen will discuss the issue at an upcoming Board meeting, tentatively scheduled for April 4, 2019. Once a time is set for this discussion, I will post a follow-up blurb about it and will send an email to those people that have emailed me.
Jim
