Things to Know About This Snowstorm

We are receiving numerous calls from residents about this snowstorm that started last night.
Please be aware of the following:

  • The DPW plow operators have been out plowing the roads since midnight last night
  • The DPW plows and its private plow operators are STILL out there plowing
  • Every street will be addressed as quickly as possible
  • The main sidewalks will be addressed as quickly as possible
  • The plows cannot lift their blades when passing your driveway
  • Any vehicles parked on the side of the road will interfere with plowing operations
  • Any basketball hoops or other portable belongings that are along the edge of the road are at risk of being damaged or destroyed if not properly stored (cannot be left along the side of the road)
  • DO NOT throw or snowblow snow from your property into the roadway or onto the sidewalks
  • PLEASE stay off the roads if you can, they are very slippery and dangerous and the more vehicles on the road, the more difficult it is for the plows to make them safe
  • PLEASE BE PATIENT, our dedicated and professional staff is doing all that they can to make the streets safe and passable
